We are sorry to report that, for the third consecutive year, the Tour de Beauce has been cancelled. Organizers announced today Canada's top men's stage race - which had already been moved from June to September - has been cancelled due to pandemic-related increases in expenses.

The organization statement:

Due to direct consequences of the pandemic, shortage of available vehicles and significant increase in several expenses, the organization of the Tour de Beauce, already postponed to September 14 to 17, 2022 , is reluctantly forced to cancel its 35th edition for a third time.

In addition to the very high costs, uncertainty persists as to the presence of several teams at the start of the event.

The race, which brings together athletes from more than 20 countries each year, cannot be adequately prepared and cannot be held in 2022 according to the high standards to which cyclists have been accustomed for many years in Beauce.

The race will be back on the International Cycling Union (UCI) calendar from June 14 to 18, 2023.

The organization of the Tour de Beauce still has on its agenda the Quebec Elite, Junior and Paracycling Road Cycling Championships at the end of August, La Voie Gravelée and the Quebec Gravelle Championships at the beginning of September, as well as the Gran Fondo Lac-Mégantic on September 25th.
